ELECT- Education Leading to Employment and Career Training

  • ​ELECT is a completely free program to assist pregnant and parenting teens to stay in school, earn a high school diploma and make the transition to employment and self-sufficiency
  • To be eligible for ELECT services, the client must be pregnant or parenting, under the age of 22 and enrolled in high school or a GED program.
  • Program is available in Mifflin, Juniata, Huntingdon, and Centre Counties

  • Individual and group supportive services
  • Vocational and career education
  • Healthcare and nutrition education
  • Secondary pregnancy prevention
  • Academic support
  • Child development and parenting education
  • Budgeting and family planning
  • Assistance in arranging child care and transportation
  • Intensive case management including home visiting
  • Year-round educational services
  • School attendance tracking and retention
  • Healthy Relationship information
